What Is an Intensive Driving Course?
An intensive driving course is a structured way to complete your driving lessons within a shorter period instead of spreading them over several months. Rather than taking one lesson each week, you complete your training over a schedule that suits your availability. This helps you stay focused and build on what you learned in the previous lesson while it is still fresh.
Intensive driving courses are sometimes called crash courses. Although the names are often used interchangeably, the goal is the same. They are designed to help suitable learners make quicker progress through regular, focused lessons.
At Smart Driving School, our intensive driving courses are built around your current driving ability, not a fixed timetable. Some learners begin with our 10 hour package, while others continue with 20, 30 or more hours if they need extra practice. Your instructor will help you decide what is realistic based on your confidence, experience and progress.
This course is not designed as a guaranteed pass course, and we will never promise that a certain number of hours is enough for everyone. Every learner develops at a different pace. Our aim is to help you become a safe and confident driver with a training plan that matches your needs.
If you are completely new to driving, an intensive course may not be the best place to start. However, if you already have some driving experience, are returning after a break, or want to prepare for your practical test within a shorter time, an intensive driving course can be a practical and flexible option.
